I have always felt an artistic desire, although the common sense, analytical side of my brain charted my career choices. Art was put on the back burner because there was always something else to do. Recently, I have been blessed with the opportunity to work more regularly as a watercolorist. As a self-taught artist, I have attended many classes and workshops by other local and some international artists. These learning arenas have provided me the opportunities necessary to continue grow as an artist. By so doing, my finished artwork continually evolves, and I also share these experiences with my students in classes in my studio and in my “Art in Bloom” offsite workshops.
I am a Signature Member and am on the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, a Member and on the Board of Directors of the Williamsville Art Society and a member of the Buffalo Niagara Art Association. I have exhibited my art multiple times in these organizations’ semi-annual events and through local art festivals and have won several awards.
The next few pages highlight my recent artwork and the types of projects that can be accomplished in my Art in Bloom workshops. My hope is that as you continue through these pages you will relax, enjoy the art and think about how you can express experiences from your own life..
